Fire alarm and fire safety equipment leasing

Fire safety is a legal requirement, not an optional extra. Leasing lets you install or upgrade compliant fire protection now and pay for it monthly, so a necessary project doesn’t become a cash-flow problem.

Fire alarms, sprinklers, emergency lighting and suppression systems, with installation included in most cases. Available across the UK and Republic of Ireland.

What we can fund

  • Fire alarm and detection systems, conventional and addressable

  • Sprinkler systems and fire suppression, including kitchen and server-room systems

  • Emergency lighting and exit signage

  • Voice alarm and public address evacuation systems

  • Fire doors, door retainers and associated hardware

  • Upgrades identified by a fire risk assessment or insurer survey

  • Installation and commissioning, in most cases

Why businesses lease fire safety systems

Act on your fire risk assessment straight away. When an assessment or inspection highlights work, leasing lets you complete it promptly instead of waiting for budget.

Protect cash flow. Fire safety upgrades can be expensive and unplanned. Spreading the cost keeps your working capital intact.

Fixed monthly payments. One predictable cost over 3 or 5 years, with VAT usually charged on each rental rather than upfront.

Usually tax-efficient. Lease rentals are normally treated as a business expense. Check with your accountant how this applies to you.

Choose the right specification. Fit the system your building genuinely needs, designed and installed to the relevant standards, rather than the minimum you can afford today.

Typical situations we help with

These are examples of the kind of projects we arrange finance for:

  • A hotel or guest house replacing an outdated fire alarm with an addressable system across all bedrooms.

  • A care home upgrading detection and emergency lighting following a fire risk assessment.

  • A restaurant installing a kitchen fire suppression system over cooking equipment.

  • A warehouse or factory adding sprinklers or upgrading detection as a condition of insurance.

  • A landlord or managing agent bringing communal fire safety up to current standards across a block.

Fire risk assessments

Not sure what you need? Fire risk assessments are available through our partner, Veritas Fire Support Services. The assessment tells you what work is required, and we can help fund it.

Why use Security Leasing

  • One point of contact. You deal with David from first call to installation, not a call centre.

  • We know the funders. We work with lenders who understand business equipment, so you aren't applying blind.

  • Clear figures up front. You'll see exactly what you'll pay each month before you commit.

  • UK and Republic of Ireland. Available 7 days a week on 07811 350386.

How it works

  1. Tell us what you need. Share your installer's quote or your fire risk assessment, or describe the building.

  2. We find the right funder. We come back with clear monthly figures over 3 or 5 years.

  3. Sign and install. One simple agreement. Your installer carries out the work and is paid directly.

  4. Pay monthly. Fixed payments for the term, with options at the end.

Fire safety leasing FAQs

Does the installer need to be accredited?

We strongly recommend it. Using a third-party certified installer (for example BAFE registered) gives you evidence the system has been designed and installed properly, which matters to insurers and fire authorities.

Can I lease a system that's needed urgently for compliance?

Yes. Leasing is often used precisely because the work can't wait for next year's budget.

Is ongoing servicing included?

The lease covers the equipment and installation. Regular servicing and testing are usually arranged separately with your installer.

Who can apply?

Limited companies, partnerships, sole traders, charities and public-sector organisations across the UK and Republic of Ireland, subject to the funder's checks.

What happens at the end of the term?

You can usually continue on a reduced rental, upgrade, or return the equipment. We'll explain the options before you sign.
